 Stand-By & PR Requests
 Print this page

USMC Historic Half Marathon Race, 05182008The Fredericksburg Rescue Squad accepts Stand-By Requests on a continuing basis.  We are routinely called upon to provide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Stand-By Coverage during charity events, sporting events, festivals & other public gatherings within our city limits.  Many times, "Rescue Sam," our award-winning collegiate-like mascot will join us on these special events!

We are also available for public relation events such as visiting local schools, parade participation and more.     Your requests to visit and tour our rescue squad station and apparatus are most welcomed too!

The award-winning Rescue Sam behind the wheel!Adhering to the high standards established by the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad since 1940, our mission and priority is to provide excellent emergency medical services to our community.  As a non-profit volunteer agency, we will make every effort to meet all Stand-By & Public Relation Requests based upon the available manpower of our dedicated volunteers.  For scheduling purposes, it is imperative we receive a 30-day notice for all such requests.

Over the past several years it has become increasingly expensive to provide our volunteer EMS Stand-By Coverage without compensation.  With this being said, we kindly welcome your tax-deductible donations to assist in defraying these costs.

If your organization or department is sponsoring an event and would like to request an EMS stand-by or a public relations appearance by the Fredericksburg Rescue Squad, please contact FRS Public Relations Officer  Tim Carlson at publicrelations@fxbgrescue.org  at least 30-days prior to your schedued event with the following information:

Member Ronnie Humphrey providing ambulance tours1.  Date and times of event;

2.  Name of your organization or department;

3.  Name & description of event;

4.  Location of event;

5.  Estimated number of attendees;

6.  POC name, phone number & email address

Our Public Relations Officer will respond to you within five (5) calendar days of receiving your request.

As always, we will continue to provide the excellent services our community deserves and has come to expect from the time-honored Fredericksburg Rescue Squad.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding in the ever-changing world of EMS.

Quote of the Week

“Giving oneself to other people, one way or another, is one of the great joys of living. Nothing we get or take equals the joy of giving. How unfortunate so many people never discover it.”
